Did you get a glimpse of the scrawny kid with curly hair at 0:12 seconds? What you just saw, was a 14 year old Martin Garrix in his natural habitat. What’s so special about a kid deejaying at his school graduation party? Well read on to know more…

Martijn Gerard Garritsen, is a Dutch DJ and electronic music producer. He learned how to play the guitar when he was eight but after he saw Tiesto perform at the Athens Olympic Games (2004), he knew his life’s path was to become a DJ.

And thank God for that decision. He’s made headlines not just for creating some stellar tracks, but for doing so when he was only a teenager!  In fact, his first solo- Animals was released when he was only seventeen.

Animals gained instant popularity, and catapulted him onto levels of success most artists can only dream of. He was the youngest artist to reach the number one spot on the popular electronic music store, Beatport. He entered the list of, ‘DJ Magazine’s’ top 100 DJs at number 40, which became No 4 in 2014, and is No1 in 2016.
