By now we all know that Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber is coming to India! The ‘Purpose World Tour’ will be his maiden visit here. A celebrity who is loved to be hated by many, there are still, many die-hard ‘Beliebers’ out there!

How He Was Found:

Bieber was discovered when Scooter Braun stumbled upon a YouTube video of his while looking for another singer and things changed in a moment, forever. Bieber was soon signed by the Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG). His first single ‘One time’ peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot Hundred.

His Rise to Stardom:

His first Extended Play, ‘My World’ listed him as the first artist to have seven songs from a debut record chart on the Billboard Hot 100. ‘My World‘ was followed by ‘My World 2.0.’ It debuted at number one on US Billboard 200 and made him the youngest solo male artist to top the charts, since Stevie Wonder in 1963! Believe, Never Say Never, Under the Mistletoe, Purpose are his other acclaimed albums. Bieber had his first ‘My World Tour’ in 2010. Among his greatest hits my favourites are ‘One Time’, ‘Baby’ , ‘Where Are You Now’, ‘Never Say Never’, ‘Sorry’, ‘What Do You mean’, ‘Love Yourself’, ‘Mistletoe’, ‘As long As you love Me’, and ‘All Around the World’. Yup I am a ‘Belieber!’

His First Concert in India:

Bieber’s show is scheduled for the 10th of May at D.Y.Patil Stadium, Mumbai. The much awaited concert has set expectations sky high. Reports suggest that Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddhartha Malhotra are likely to perform at the show too. The newly turned 23 year old Grammy winner has a solid fan base in India. The fast selling out show is testimony to his super stardom.

But, the question arises, how worthy is it to witness live a concert of such scale? Let’s try to weigh this out:

A definite treat for ‘Beliebers’:

Fans in India have all the reasons to rejoice. It is his first visit here and if you are a hardcore fan, missing this show is simply out of the question. ‘Beliebers’ from across the country are travelling down to Navi Mumbai to witness the King of Pop live. Just imagine the thrill to be amidst the madness of those high decibel sound waves.

The perfect Showdown:

Without doubt Bieber is a sensational performer. Apart from his groovy numbers, his sassiness, his tattoos; the ones his fans are wild about, the ‘Purpose World Tour’ promises to be a perfect spectacle. Complete with heavy duty drama, jazz and extravaganza that one associates with any International show.

As Indians, we still don’t have our mind attuned to attending or hosting great gigs. Though the scenario has been picking up slowly, the ticketing for such gigs has always been a debatable issue. The ticket prices for this show which go as high as up to Rs. 77,000 have been making to the news big time. However, tickets have been slotted in various categories ranging from basic ticket for Rs. 4,060 to the VVIP ones costing around Rs 77, 000.

And yes just in case you still don’t strike gold! Go sneak in! This is not me telling you, it is what Justin Beiber himself ordered. And that’s just one more reason bad boy – ‘Beliebers’ like me can’t stop going gaga over him!!
